Try a t100 master I think. I had a similar issue and no run for the gm master on the last build I did. Ended up getting a new t100 master and adjusted the push rod and cut a piece off the pedal inside the cab and it worked great.

my personal truck I have the gm master and it’s good besides the booster I think is bad and there’s a hard spot right as you get on the pedal.

I have an extra one I just wanted for the shafts. If you need it it’s yours. Out of a 2010 2500hd. Was a salt truck so it’s going to be a battle.

Just have to pick it up. We can double check to make sure the shafts will fit mine. Other then it’s all yours.

Thank you. as i understand it all the 14 bolt shafts are the same its just the hubs that are different between single and dual wheels. I have 4" of hub that sticks out so it was from something with dual rear wheels. But yea thanks.

Curious thoughts- how does a fully built IFS long travel 1st gen taco/3g4r front axle/diffs compare to a stock rubicon Dana 44? Debating picking up a Rubi to replace my 4Runner. Want to run 35’s to start and making sure I’m not making a linear move. I have TC uniball lowers on the 4Runner, but hear a lot about the ball joints on Dana 44s. Curious to hear people’s thoughts/experience on build Toyota IFS vs stock Rubicon JK. Will I be breaking shafts/ball joints like I break CVs?

My only solid axle experience were the tons on my taco SAS and the Rockwells on my bouncer haha

I guess a better way to ask would be how would both hold up to similar wheeling- Toyota front diff and cvs/ball joints vs stock Rubi Dana 44s

44 will out perform the 7.5 clamshell all day IMO

That’s what I was thinking. These guys blowing ball joints/shafts on Dana 44 I just don’t think know how easy IFS shit breaks, so it’s hard to get a decent comparison if that makes sense.

It is hard to compared as drivers are different. But I seen more broken IFS than I do with D44. Heck, I seen 2 Tacoma broken down (1 with a blown clamshell, other had a broken cv) at the location and a rubi complete the mild obstacle.

the old school D44 stuff uses a Spicer 760 u joint and ball joints are about the same size as the 1st Gen Tacoma upper ball joint. I can post a side by side pic if needed lol. These 44s aren't a big upgrade imo, the 760 ujoint isn't very large nor are the ears of the axle shaft. they'll take a little more than a 1st gen CV but you'll still be able to break them. When the u joint wipes the ears of the shaft out they can spread and take out the ball joints.

now the JK/JL D44 front uses larger ball joints and the shafts use a 1350 u joint which is much bigger than the old school D44 stuff. These are much stronger than the Tacoma CVs lol

Very good to know. I’m looking at the 4 door Rubis around 2013. Still learning the terminology but guessing those are JKs and after 18 I think are JLs. I feel pretty confident it’ll be an upgrade. Just trying to prepare myself for how much shit it can or can’t take haha not really trying to wheel it hard or anything, I just know what it takes to break a CV and I need a wee bit more leeway.

assuming you aren't gonna run 40s, on a 4 door I'd be more worried about bending the housing or inner Cs than breaking a front shaft. there's always a pile of bent front housings on FB market  truss/gusset and it's not much of an issue

Nah no 40’s…yet haha. Honestly I think 35’s and stock suspension will take care of things for a while since it’ll be a family offroad vehicle. Light duty. Will probably be as or a bit more capable as my LT f/r locked 4Runner currently is without the normal 20 year old car problems..just new jeep problems haha

This thread has helped my wallet get lighter! But appreciate all the information! Thankfully I have a friend that’s experienced that will be doing my conversion, with me probably annoyingly assisting when I can. Still waiting on a few more parts/mods.

Im getting a whi whi whi when coming to a stop. D60 in the front. Could it be my brake booster!? Dont see anything that would be causing that. Like an old line. Weird
