If I wanted to buy a truck that had the front end of a pit bull/ bull dog I would just buy a pit bull/ bulldog instead. Overall expense and cost of housing him or her would be cheaper in the long run anyways.

2nd gen. ;) Just updated. So 2012+ which I am actually very happy with. Or maybe even the new 4Runner style front end. I saw a photoshop of that one on a Taco, and it actually looked very clean.

So you expected Toyota to leave the 10 year old design of the Taco as is....forever! haha

While I do like the 2nd gen look very much, and also the new Runner front-end, you do realize both of those designs got as much hell as the 3rd gen design when they first came out.

I know the 4Runner design got tons of hell when it came out, I didn't like it at first either, but after a little bit (definitely way faster then it would take for me to like the 3rd gen Taco design) I ended up loving it.

If it helps, concentrate on the new Off Road, to me that's the best looking one. The hood scoop on the Sport with the large skirt on the bottom are a bit much. The Off Road's design seems to be balanced better.... I mean, come on...this one convinced me. haha

I can't say it's garbage because they kept a lot from the 2nd gen, but to me it's not even a "new" truck...more like a facelift with a newer motor/trans (and now people complain about hunting gears at highway speed already)

A few months ago I saw the truck up close, and it had the chrome grill. I was shocked at how cheap and cheesy (VERY plasticey looking for lack of a better term). It's REALLY bad...

I have a very simple solution to those who have a problem about the grill !

Don't like it don't buy it, and stop being dickheads to those who do like and have bought it, fairly simple . . .

I believe Jeff Lange said the door panels are the same. I have to say... NO! Windows are definitely different both in size and shape. The whole outer skin has been retooled.
