Solved a pet-peeve and added some colour. Mountain Hatch tailgate surface went in tonight.

They aren’t actively selling them (afaik). There was a lot of lash back from the die hard mountain hatch enthusiast  Cloned was tossed around regularly on ig. I don’t understand that when the same/majority will buy the knock off pro grill over the oem.

I actually pm them after requesting one and waited a few weeks before they had one (or some) with a few minor changes. It was Toyota misfits or something like that. I’ll post a picture up tomorrow but it’s just black

I didn’t mind the mountain hatch logo but the cup holders were a negative for me

If you get one, ask to have shipping any other way than UPS. The brokerage fee was ridiculous.

Yeah, the cup holders seem unnecessary to me. I was thinking they could be handy as a parts holder spot for screws etc when working on the truck, but that may be a stretch.

or, better yet, being food-grade nylon, they could be for guacamole and sour cream when I make nachos on my tailgate.

    Still stock completely capable!
Thanks for the heads up! I just got a PO Box on the other side of the line and I’m only a 45 min drive from the boarder so good excuse to go fill up the tank and pick stuff up. Just ordered sliders and a bed rack from a local guy (Cruisinoffroad) so I’m a few months until my next mod for sure lol!

I do my best to avoid UPS at all costs, but I slipped up this time, and paid dearly for my mistake.

If you are close enough to the border, you can skip brokerage fees by using a mail box location. I have my stuff sent to TSB Shipping in Point Robert's. Takes me 1½ hours round trip on a weekday morning to run down, pick up stuff and some gas. Added bonus is lots of places ship free depending on size or value in continental US. So extra savings there too.

Slow typer this was already mentioned while I one finger mashed out my post :D

Yeah. Unfortunately, there’s a bit of ocean between me and there, so it’s a wash.

By the way. The mod looks good. Colour looks good. Something I will have to add to my growing list :spending:

Bolts, screws, tools etc. would just roll off. Also, I imagine it would get very slick if wet. Not for me, but might be good for others. The “cup holders” seem absurd to me. It’s a tailgate... you can literally sit a beer on 1,000 different spots on the back of a truck.

Except on your OEM tailgate. You’re missing out big-time. I’d be surprised if you sleep tonight thinking about it. That cold beer sitting flat on my tailgate.

Probably installing a cup-holder for his beer.
