SOLVED! Help. PTS won’t turn off.

Please provide some help.
Truck starts fine and runs perfect.
Scenario- I drive, come to a stop, place the truck in park, and push the button to shut the vehicle off.

It appears to stay in accessory mode - like it would in if I shut it down in neutral. Radio stays on and I can’t lock the door wraith the fob or door handle touch sensor.

I’m thinking the truck may not know it’s in park.
Thoughts?

Update/Solution: Seems that while I was doing some soundproofing I bumped the auto turn-on switch on my powered subwoofer into the “audio” input to trigger power. This was not an intuitive solution, but rather a “wtf have I done to my truck to cause this problem” thought process.

I can’t find any documentation to resolve the “why,” but it appears that having the sub trigger off of a sensed audio input (i.e speaker input) instead of the ‘remote’ will keep the truck in accessory mode.

I was able to repeat/cancel the error by changing the auto turn-on position.

I’m having this same problem..
But I don’t have after market sounds.


After work drove to the store, put car in park pushed the button to turn off car.
Car stays in accessory mode.
Noticed because ac was still on.

*Signed* tried to turn on truck and turn off. Same thing..
Had to disconnect battery at home.

Long story short.
Servco Toyota is having a problem to figure it out.
Truck has been in shop for 16 days...
Key has a new battery.

Was having the same issue with my kicker 250.1 amp. Has the same switch,so i moved it to the 12+ (was on auto) and it fixed it! Thanks
