That's hilarious! 440hz is the same frequency that bagpipes get tuned to at "A." No wonder I'm a fan of the Tacoma.

In the interest of adding to the knowledge base: 2017's (at least our example) have "ocarina" musical LCAs.

Thanks OP. My 2017 Access cab was noisy. I glued the weatherstrip and blocked most of the cabin vents with foam (between the bed and the cab - there is a thread I did) but then it was quiet enough to hear the howling. This fixed it 100% and my truck has the air dam too. Thats again!

My noise as coming from the passenger side, the duct tape did the trick, but the wife complained it hurt when I pulled tape off her lips at the end of our trip......:thumbsup::thumbsup:

The dealer told me today that they don't stock these plugs. I have to bring in the truck and let a service technician verify the issue THEN they could order the parts. Takes 2-5 days for the Parts to come in. THEN I have to bring the truck back. He said it requires 6 plugs and they are $11 a piece. CAN YOU BELIEVE? I said look, Toyota knows this is an issue. You should keep these in stock to accommodate your customers. What a hassle. I went and bought my own caps for a total of $3. Thanks for the info. This forum is very informative

Gotcha. My dealership changed ownership 2 months after I bought the truck. I'm extremely disappointed in the dealership now. I have two more Toyota dealers nearby; luckily.
