[SOLVED] Metallic rattle? I’ve been hunting for days

    I’m not the type to leave anyone in suspense. But it did end up being the wheel bearing on the driver front. Replaced the whole hub assembly with Dorman Part # 950-004. The only thing the Dorman part didn’t come with is the dust cap, which I just hammered out and then back in with a socket and hammer. Pretty straight forward repair. Thanks everyone for the tips that led to the fix! Much love!

    i was gonna say wheel weights honestly, for a week i chased a rotational pinging sound that happened the exact same way you described. Then i removed a tire and plopped it on the ground and heard the sound and i whipped that inside wheel weight so far into the woods. Glad you figured it out though
