    Relax, reassemble and take care to ensure everything is reinstalled.

    Sounds like a vacuum leak or ground to me.

    most of the time itll be something small over looked. Sometimes you just gotta throw in the towel that day and go back at it the following day. Glad you figured it out

    I figured it out!
    Really stupid, but two of the wires going to the coils were flipped…

    When learning to work on engines, there really isn't anything stupid. They're called mistakes. I worked on Ford, GM, and Pontiac V8 engines from the 60's and 70's for quite a few years. I've got 3 complete engine rebuilds under my belt, and all of these motors had distributers and points, which themselves can add a level of pain in the ass to work with. Everything you do is a learning experience, and mistakes are going to be made. Figuring them out and taking you time is what counts. I couldn't tell you how many times I said "Fuck it" and walked away only to come back the next day and think of something to check I hadn't thought of before. Having a couple of spark plug wires in the wrong place is a simple mistake than many of us have made. Glad you figured it out. How's the truck running now.
