Got badminton, horseshoes, and croquet set up. Neighbor is re-roofing his shed today with his girlfriend, and we are farting around in the yard/shed all day doing various projects, which will turn into into drinking and games and BBQing with them sometime in the afternoon.

    I love weekends. :)

if the house next door is maintenance-free, has a giant garage, a large, power boat friendly, lake in the back yard, and a substantial yearly income all included...I will happily move there.
Of course then I would have to deal with the trashy next door neighbors constantly working on their broke down, old ass, Tacoma in the driveway all the time. That's probably gonna get old fast, lol.

And after,, Not the best job,,but a hell of alot better than the mix of green, white, red, black,,green again then a touch of blue as I peeled the layers back on the dash down to bare metal. Now I get to put it all back together after another day or so. John Deere Blitz Black shot with a Home depot HVLP gun. You all have probably seen farm truck on the show Street Outlaws,,well, this is Farm car now. lol.

OK fucker, them's fightin' words!!! It's on now buddy!!! No more truck cookies for you!!!! Whatevs, you are just jealous because I drive a bad ass truck.

And you can sleep in the driveway when you visit, right next to the "broke down, old ass Tacoma" :D And if it's cold? No, you can't sleep inside her, SORRY!!! :D

"Trashy next door neighbors"???????? I bet all your neighbors dubbed you the Sanford & Sons of your area many years ago, good buddy  If we are going to go there with broke down ass vehicle commentary, let's get a nice photo shot posted on TW of your various "broke down old ass" crap.

Wait, never mind, I bet a bunch of these TW guys would probably be impressed/think you are that much cooler if they saw all the garbage projects you have going

It's a 1956 Chevy 210 2 door sedan that me, my brother and my dad started working on back in 2006. It's been a off and on project over the years. Brother wanted out of it so he could race with his portion of the money, and pops passed away in 2013. So I took it over. Pops had the seat recovered in red and white really nice. The seat colors stay. When first purchased we found receipts dated from the early-mid 80's from gas stations, motels, diners, armory's,,yes armory's, down around Bogota Columbia (South America). Found empty 30 cal shell casings that had dropped down around the cable trays inside. Maybe some dirty dealings there,,dunno. Ex AF pilot owned it at one time up north. Then it made it's way down by Texas for a time, then back this way to Tacoma for a bit till we bought it.

If you think painting a topper is a bit difficult, try painting the inside of a old car. The outside jobs are easy, the insides are a real bitch.

Mom and Dad going for a spin. Just after the narrowed Ford 9 was installed. Plowed into and ski jumped over 2 adult deer about 3 years ago at about 30+ mph. Didn't scratch, break, or move a thing.

And I can only imagine how much more difficult painting an interior would be over an exterior!!! Would not attempt what you are doing myself!! :D

    How's the knee this morning @koditten ??

Thought about ya this weekend when we were sitting on the deck. Does it get very hot where you are this time of year?

We bought a mister kit from Home Depot for $25. It's basically a long skinny hose with these little fuel injector looking things on it, and you tack that hose up overhead (we mounted ours under our arbor, which is over the top of our deck) and screw your hose into it and it is absolute paradise!! Creates a misting room!! Get a couple of comfy outdoor chairs/loungers under that thing when it's hot, sit back with beverage of your choice, and enjoy!!! Could be a perfect activity for you right now!!!

Didn't even need a beer to enjoy it!! I made frozen raspberry lemonade drinks in the blender instead :)

Getting around pretty good, slow but good. I have a walking stick just for extra stability.

Sleep schedule is still pretty effed up yet. I am able 2 get at last 3 hrs of solid sleep at one time now. I was lucky to get 15 minutes last week.

I worked on getting ready to change out my headlights and rebuild my A/C last night. I'm a little pissed, though. Bought 2 brand new head lights and only one came with a new bulb. Of course I can use one of the old ones, but I know for sure one will be brighter, so I'll end up having to buy 2, new bulbs in the end.

don't feel bad k those crappy china bulbs that come in em aren't any good anyway, when I got mine the drivers side high beam wasn't working.

get you some Sylvania extra vision bulbs, they work great and put out tons of light, I love em. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sylvania-Xt...lbs-/371352258148?hash=item567651c664&vxp=mtr just as bright as those more expensive bulbs but at a reasonable price

That was gonna be my next question. Believe it or not, I drove my 98 for 15 yrs and never had a headlight go out.

Thanks for the link. Please tell me they are just plain white bulbs. I reAlly can't stand those weird, blue things.

same here lol, yep these are just plain "normal" white lights

them blue things give me headaches in my vehicle or others. when I ride with someone that has them I look to the side or close my eyes most of the time or ride in the back seat

@mrfish27 , you down in SE Oregon yet? I think you said you were going sometime in June, right?

Would love to hear details/see photos of your trip when you have a chance!! Would especially love to hear whether you made it into the Chalk Basin area. Still trying to decide where we'll go in Sept, but it is still on the list of possibles.

Read this random fact about the Steens/SE Oregon just yesterday, kinda amusing/interesting, check it out - it sounds like something from the TV show Hell on Wheels!!
