And I am doing rotors and pads on all four corners of my daughters 99 Accord, Wagner premium parts from Rock Auto were under $150, with shipping. The Friendly Local Autopart Store is good for things like techron and the turn signal bulb I failed on Tuesday.

Yeah, good point, probably could have saved some if we went the RA route. Honestly, I didn't even think about it!! Sad huh? After all we just went through, you'd think I'd remember to shop around for items like this by now  But it was really nice to not even get involved in the rotor stuff. Basically Eric made the call of what was wrong, then figured out what to do and what we needed, and I get to go back to the "are you done yet?" mode while focusing on other stuff. Love that :)

EDIT: other stuff like where the next Taco adventure will be!!!

I love the bonus feature of this plan :D That's right, I remember @Dirty Pool recc' a walking stick for this exact reason!! Good call to both of you!! :) Watch out rattlers, lovemytacolots shows NO MERCY  I'll have to swing by DP's and practice using my new walking sticks as snake murder weapons in his yard, since it looked like he had plenty o' slithering satans hanging around

Might actually start doing some shopping for these, thanks for the tips! :)

The bad news: no topper touch ups yet :sorry:

The good news: pie going in the oven :hungry:

The quest of the day: how to clean lug nuts to look shiny new again while Eric has them off :help: Wonder if I need neighbor to do media blaster thing again? Or if some harsh chemical + serious scrubby of some kind would do the job? Looks like most of the ick is rust unfortunately, so guessing the media blaster thingy would be the best route again?

Happy Friday TW!!!! What's everyone's weekend plans???? :D

i love it but its still got a rough idle and not as good gas mileage as it should but i love it. it pulls the boat great and i can pass up slow grampa drivers while pulling the boat now.

the interior is all in pieces, the dash trim is still half on, half off, from the LED light swap im still in the middle off doing.

from the power conversion, the sill plates and kick panels are off with exposed wire harness plugs dangling out :p but the passenger dor has been fully converted to power with power door panels, switches, window regulators and motors, power door lock actuator, power mirror and wiring harness, so that door is finished but is has no wires to plug to so nothing in it works yet lol.

im doing a manual to full power door conversion so its open heart surgery on the doors and to finish it i have to make a wiring harness to make it work so between cutting grass, painting the house, fishing, crabbing, online researching the wiring, and hanging out here, im trying to "get er dun".

i couldnt do the drivers door yet until i figured out how to wire everything to work properly because i cant be unable to roll the drivers window down in this heat, heat index is over 100 degrees, but now that i figured it all out im going to start installing the guts for the drivers door.

i think tomorrow i'll be making the wiring harness for it and maybe have most of it working so i can put the passenger side all back together, but the mirrors stiil wont work until the switching relays come in the mail so i can hook those up.

the only thing I don't like is the seats are too hard. you sit up a little higher in the 01-04 seats but the seat foam must be different because my 99 have nice comfortable seats but this on makes my butt hurt after an hour, its like sitting on a hard chair where you get numb butt lol.

I didn't know you were into fishing and crabbing! Sounds like fun.

And I didn't know you were painting your house. We are getting ready to start doing that too. What color are you doing? Any pics? Did you clean the siding first?

Glad your Taco is treating you well

the only things I "had to do" with the truck were to replace the tires, leaf springs, shocks, and complete front struts. so many people think those coil springs don't wear out but they do and after 100k miles its smart to replace the strut as a complete unit. my front end lifted up a good 2", that's how much the OEM springs had sagged over the years. I went back with all original ride height leafs and struts.
so yeah the truck was great until I torn it apart fixing everything to make it better :annoyed:

the house is getting painted baby blue, but its called "new morning sky", where do they come up with these names? and it has white trim work. the ladder work is whats left to do. its 4 ft off ground with gable ends so that's like 30 ft up at the peek and im not young to be climbing up and down a damn ladder every time I need to move 2 ft over for the next spot lol. it has a first coat but the previous baby poo brown is bleeding through, I think I might wait for a September cool front to do the second coat there.

here is the picture after the baby poo brown color I put on last year http://s1076.photobucket.com/user/keakar63/media/present condition.jpg.html?sort=6&o=3

im part fish by heart, just stick me in a boat and blood pressure drops immediately and im smiling, best blood pressure drug in the word is reeling in a fish.

this isn't me, its a random youtube video just to show the method I use to crab:

That's really cool that fishing/boating are your thing. We all need to have a "thing" and it's awesome when the "thing" is something outdoors and good for you too. Nice work @keakar ! :)

TW, here's the reason I didn't get the touch up paint done yet:
