    looking good

not sure if that's where its staying but I suggest you keep it far enough off from being too close to the house wall so it doesn't get mildew between the post and wall like it often does in areas not well ventilated.

plus, one day you might need to work on that siding

No worries, Karl. The final resting place will be near the edge of the deck.

We are actually putting in a door that will access the master bedroom. So not looking forward to that job.

Rafters are set, now ready for roofing. Actually starting to look like the pic in that advertising. I'm liking it.

Whoa. That thing is gorgeous!!! Nice work!! Are you going to stain it? It looks so pretty the way it is, but it makes me sad to think of that beautiful honey colored wood turning all grey and weathered over time. Either way, nice job K!! :)

Now I want one!!! Can you guys move to Oregon and build us:

    A Garage

    A trailer

    A gazebo

Install doors from bedroom to deck (since you are so looking forward to doing that at your own house!!)

    :D

yep. I priced building a garage (just materials costs since I could do it all myself) yet it was still a few thousand $ cheaper to get one of these metal buildings installed and the crew came out and had it put up and fully installed in just 3-4 hours after they started.

cant beat that, that's for sure

    I ♥ Les Schwab. :)

Eric just got a warning light in the Civic to check tire pressure. Sure, he could check the pressure at home, then drag the giant air compressor out, but I wanted to check with Schwab, since eventually we'll need them rotated, and it's always nice to let them look at brake pads when doing that, plus I love being able to stop in there if I'm dealing with any tire issue by myself while driving.

So, I called Schwab to ask about whether we could get all the free services on the Civic even though we aren't the folks that actually purchased the tires, nor do we have any proof that they even came from them (they are Toyos, which they do sell, but still, it's anybody's guess where they came from).

They said no problem, they'll do all their normal free stuff for the life of the tires, and to come on over now if he can get there before they close. I started gushing on and on about how we've always bought our tires from them because we love the convenience of their services, and how we'll continue to always buy them there. :D

Go Schwab!! Awesome service every time from those dudes!! Love it!! :D

Nice to have a good tire shop, we use our local tire barn and treat the staff well, we buy lots of tires...I think a set of the Michelin LTX MS2 in the P265/75R16 size, are in my future.

pretty sure its not just being nice but its that you are a long time customer and I bet they can see tires you bought from them in the computer to prove it so they were, in their mind, just extending coverage you never used on other tires bought from them. its super cool for them to be so great
