Damn! Spoke too soon. Things were good but now they're bad again. Starting to look like this will be the theme for a good long while. Or who knows, maybe this is really the end this time.......so hard to tell WTF is going on at this point...

Ah well, Taco is still running good and is my escape from the insanity for now!! It's really pretty ironic - 1 year ago today, I would have never dreamed that the Taco would be my rescue from some other problem!! I crank up the Dolly Parton or some good ol' Waylon and go cruising to temporarily escape the pain of the whole thing. :D Definitely lovingmytacolots these days!! :)

Another month or so Jen, then the sun will pop out and it will look very alive around here.

Another long stretch of living under the hood. Helping a buddy rig up a proper cooling system for a big power project truck. Radiator sizing,,cooling fan flows and amp draws for waterproof relays. Temp switches placed where they need to be. Fancy gauges inside the cab. Already have a medium box of stuff that will have to go back to suppliers. Getting all that sorted out. The nice thing is it is all new parts,,no grime per say.

Just clicked 228K on my junk so I pulled a full service and inspection,,cleanup, ect. My e-brake light was telling me that something was gunked up or stretched. E cable clevis and pin pivots by the backing plates had started to freeze up from gunk being blasted from the tires. They couldn't swing and relax enough to allow the cable to draw back up when released. ALOT of road spray right there when it's nasty out. Grab some Liquid wrench or single hand needle greaser and give them a blast occasionally. I had just serviced all of this about 6-7 months ago. My fault,,been a crappy winter here and should have known. The rest was good,,except for those ends. Light is off,,no adjustment needed. OEM rear pads still look like new,,which amazes me to the point of worry, lol.

    Howdy, folks

Got a pretty good storm going on, but I can take time out from moving snow to say hello to all the peeps that hit this thread.

Got my roof replaced. Right down to the wire. Roofers finished up at 11am Tuesday, snow storm hit hard at 1pm.

Hello TW peeps!! How y'all doing?

How's everyone's Tacos running? Mine is good!! :mudding:

How's everyone's jobs going? Mine (yes, I went back to work!) is good! :D

How's everyone's pets doing? Dolly is good!! :)

How's everyone's weather? Mine is about to get much, much better - sunshine is coming soon, which means awesome spring hiking!!!

How's everyone's house projects going? Mine are good!! Bathroom needs only a few minor things finished!

And the rest of my life? Well, that part's still kind of a mess. But all that other good stuff, plus the support of some seriously awesome friends, is giving me the strength to sort through the "kind of a mess" part.

So overall, things are looking up in my neck of the woods! Let's face it, of all the things I listed above, we all know which one is the most satisfying one!! ;) Still lovingmytacolots, probably now more than ever!! :burnrubber: Realizing how proud I am of that whole deal - I was determined to getting through that disaster, and I DID IT!!! What doesn't kill us makes us stronger, right TW? Damn, I am like the Incredible Hulk now!! :D

OK, fill me in on what's new and exciting in all of your lives!!! :)

I got a new roof installed last week, or so I'm told. Not sure. Been snowing, so I have to take the contractors word.

I'll update in detail when I get to a computer this weekend.

    Glad you are feeling better.

Hey Ms Jen. Good to hear your back on and oiling up your hiking boots. We have had some flickers/days of awesome sunlight around here,,along with everything else.

Me and Kirk are racing to see who's new roof wears out first,,problem is,,I think I will run out of time before I see the outcome. The bottomless bucket and a tall Coke. Gonna be a wee bit.

Went with a woodsy brown design on the 3 tab. Everyone has the xerox silver tab or something close and that's what was peeled off. Was time to walk a different path than the herd. Thought it was a bit too brown after it was done,,cause I am institutionalized,,but it is looking much more matched to it's surroundings. Original brick chimney also got a rework/reline/reseal for the wood stove. That was a bit extra,,but money well spent I feel. Nothing like natures TV when the power dumps out,,,3 days ago. Already paid for itself kinda.

Prepping the racecar for this limited season. Having some header collectors coated with high temp 2K° black ceramicoat. Trans is to be picked up tomorrow at the race shop. Unlimited Hp guarantee on it,,they dared us to break it. We almost did last year. The billet steel input shaft was off one full spline,,,twisted, but not broke. It can only take 1000hp of nitrous for so long.

Hey Jen! So based on my frustration of you not buying that silver 4runner a few months back i had to get myself one, ha!!! Its just like the one you guys were looking at too but its green, the mica jade color. It has the running boards and fat fender flares too. I remeber talking about removing those dumb running boards, well i can niw confirm they do come off without a hitch! Looks much better and dont have to worry about rippin em off on a stump er something. Will soon have a bumper on order aswell to get rid of that fat looking stocker. Its so nice, its sure alot more comfy than the tacos i got. The GF and i (shes more excited than me i think)wanna set it up for the overlanding scene, get some bumpers, a lift and of course a roof top tent to finish it off. Itll be pretty sweet when its all done up. With how you like to go on road trips around oregon and such i really think you would like to get a RTT, pull up to your favorite places in your offroad capable rig (taco in your case) and just unfold the tent and setup camp right then and there at your favorite spot! Its so cool to be able to do that. Im excited! If you were to get a RTT i think you'd have to get a bed rack to put it on, im not sure if you can put it on your canopy or not. Idk though, im not familiar with those tents and their mounting options, soon to change though!

Hope things are going better fur ya!!!!!

Ride a snow sled right up on top,,strap er down. Take it down right across the hood. If you block up the tires so the 4skinner can't move, you might be able to clear the hood with a pimped unit,,:bikewhoops:.

I could fit 2 people in there,,just camping out for a weekend or so. Once you strip the seats out 6'4" can fit in there. Have done that with a 89 4skinner. But if you get the dawgs in there,,it might get a little tight and aromatic,,and non romantic.

The new cab top tents are really the way to go. Waiting for the double decker model to come out.

    Howdy all.

Glad to hear that things are trending upwards. Enjoy the pizza, prolly can't be as good as your own, but enjoy non the less.

Roof went on without a hitch. My contractor's knew their shit as well as I did, since I was a roofer back in the day. Absolutely stellar work. 27 square of shingles removed and installed in 2 days!

We opted to install new shutters as well. This really sets off the place with minimal work.
