:gossip: Be sure to let us know if the new springs did not get rid of all of the side-to-side sway...

Checked this morning, looks like 34psi all around. Tires are sailun terramax ht. 265/70/r16. Does that help?

Issues pretty much solved, thanks to everyone for your input and patience. Final update:

conclusion: People make mistakes, but the original shop should have caught the issue between the two times I brought it in asking them to check the suspension and steering. The steering rack was barely hanging onto the frame, bolts were finger tight at best. Scary. Being loose was the root cause of my issues, along with worn out sway bushings. The alignment i got after the shock install didn’t take because the rack was still moving all around.
I tightened the rack to spec myself, replaced sway bar bushings, then went to a local alignment shop for alignment. my toe was way off. After alignment, life is good. Springs are still old as hell and should be replaced but my truck is 1000% better than before.

Still pretty bitter at that first shop though. I’m not going back to that damn “mechanic” shop again, which is a shame because their communication was great, just not the service.

My body roll issues were drastically reduced by replacing my original sway bar bushings. Not even end links, just the main ones. Used moog, it was ~$15 and an hour of time.

Any update? And try replacing sway bar bushings. Easy, cheap, made a drastic difference for me.

I can say with confidence that you’re correct, but after fixing sway bar, rack torque, and alignment it isn’t a huge deal…. Yet.

I replaced all this stuff and the truck feels like crap on the road. Like the shocks and springs are doing nothing. I'm wondering if there is something wrong with the body of the truck that I just can't see. There are no strange noises though. Just got back from the dealer and none of their most experienced mechanics could understand why it's the way it is, unless there is something wrong with the parts.

Chris, are you saying it’s stiff? Or soft?

extremely soft, like the shocks are providing zero dampening.

Problem appears to be solved by switching out the new OEM shocks and springs with Bilstein 6112's. The 6112's are much heavier duty shocks with a 600lb spring. There is significant difference in effort it takes to manually compress the 6112 shocks vs OEM. The OEM shocks look more like something you would see on a mountain bike. They are really skinny.
