hello team, how hard is it to install CC? Looks like there is a female plug ready inside the engine bay to receive some form of hook up. What parts do I need and how hard is it. Thank you for your help and time.

Do you have the hookup for the cruise computer behind your passenger kickpanel as well as the hookup on the steering wheel?

If you have the wiring existing already it shouldn't be that bad. Are you sure it's for cc?

Can you take a pic of what you're talking about?

I checked the kick passenger kick panel but no computer. I'm pretty sure that I have a plug though for cc hookup. It's the only. Plug on the passenger side of engine bay where the acurator would go. What does the little computer plug into behind the kick panel? What else do I need and how hard is it?

You'd need the actuator, stalk, TPS, etc. and even the wiring if you don't have it all. There's a member trying to do it on this post. LOTS of helpful pictures and info.

I've got the clutch switch, brake switch, and stalk that I was going to use in my 2004 but it ended up having all the switches installed already and my donor steering wheel from a tundra had the stalk already!

What do I need if I'm a auto? Does a 2004 share the same parts as a 2002?

Under the passenger kicker panel there is a white plug and a grey plug, both are just hanging, do they plug into the module that Is supposed to go under the passenger kick panel?

See the faint line on the right side of steering wheel. Almost looks like a pop out so I can insert the cc physical stalk.

This is much passenger side engine Bay. Notice the plug.

What's this bracket on the throttle body? Is it for the cc cable?

Damn it looks like you have the hookups for CC already. The bracket on your engine is for the throttle cable. Take a pic of behind your kick panel.

2004 is one of those weird years where it was a drive-by-wire instead of fly-by-wire. I don't know if that'll affect anything.

I will grab a pic. But I know the module isn't there. Took the panel off earlier, lol. However there are two fuse blocks, one white one grey. Just dangling waiting to be plugged in. How does the cable connect to the throttle body, once I get it?

So basically I just need to buy the accurator and computer module under kicker panel plug them both in, and that's it? @multimediavault

Yes please send a pic of your throttle body @christsay

    Thanks

Yeah, 2004 is drive by wire'ish. There's still a throttle cable that goes into the firewall but pulling it won't get you full throttle. Electric motor opens the throttle all the way.

[IMG]Untitled by chris tsay, on Flickr

There's also another electrical connector going into the other (not pictured) side of the TB.

Here's the cutout on the steering wheel as done by the factory. There's a plastic felt flexible cover that keeps it looking tidy:

I have the cc actuator off a 2003 drive by cable for sale if you are interested. Took it off truck about 6 months ago. Have everything else too if there are other components you need.

There's some info to start. Bunch of info in the FSM. The 2003 and 4 is completely different. Drive by wire.

@mechanicjon having hard time seeing your pdfs. Can you try re sending them. So the 2003 cc components won't work. Will the 2000 and 2001 cc parts work with my 2002?
