    Stainless you say? Interesting! Noob question, can stainless chip? lol, some of these may be soap but the exhaust was cold and it's out of the sun...

    Well mine is stainless. The OEM ones from Toyota come Polished Stainless! Unless it's a Chinese FAKE Toyota tip that you have??

    If it actually pitted the finish, might be time to replace it with the Toyota black chrome version.

    If not, mineral spirits and Nevr-Dull...it's good enough for the Navy!

    Seeing your location, I would recommend having a spare stock section. Someone posted a nasty shot of theirs after a long hard winter where it turned the area to ice and bent the brake lines. We don't get that cold around here.

    Just a thought, used grill paint on mine, half to touch up on occasion but holds very well. This allows for the chrome look to no longer being there, and ties the black in with the rest of the truck
