If 3rd Gen is ripping it off, your truck is going to turn it to confetti.

i ran it normally on the street. that is all. installed as designed. the bracket is designed by a monkey, that is the problem.

    here's the thread about it..
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/crazy-leak-from-the-rear-end-overnight.548948/

yes I'm keeping the bar and may fab a big time gusseted bracket in the future. for now I'm enjoying learning better throttle control at the foot.

that's nice to hear! I'm actually NA and trying to keep it that way, but TTs are on the table for a massive rebuild in the future after 100k (currently at 50k). at this point I'm more interested in Eaton coming out with a positraction that fits the new 8.75" MT rear. last i checked it's still not made and there are no real lsd options. that's where I'll need the traction if i do FI and not expecting a bar to be close to enough.

What way is your carrier bearing mounted? Is it flipped or is it mostly tucked into the mounting bracket like most people have done it?

couldnt tell you. had an existing spacer from my lift.
either position required a custom bracket to make it work. we just kept it the same as before. helped 0%
