Some Canadian 2021 models VIN start with 5?

I’ve been browsing the dealerships in the area. Some of them have the VIN listed on the trucks. Some are still starting with 5 (Texas) I thought all production moved to Mexico? There is also some models that start with the 3 (short beds). Is this a Canadian thing, shipping costs?

 

I think 5 just denotes North American built, Mexico is considered North America.

 

Mine starts with a 3 and was made in Mexico

 

5 is usa not north America, 3 would be mexiko

Lol - but for real can I still net a USA taco in 21 or 22? I’m fine with my 20 but I was surprised to see that. I dunno maybe it’s nothing to overthink..
