some idiot thought it would be a good idea to start a fire on out hunting club yesterday or today and it burned up a good bit of the land. me and my dad were on our way up to the club to get prepared for the hunting season and we noticed a lot of smoke coming from the direction of the other property on the other side of the creek and we decided to go and investigate and when we got over to the other side. we found out 1/4 of the land had ,and still is burning, with no one around. we tried to put it out but it was just me and him and we couldn't control it so we called the fire department and they came and couldn't put it out so they called the forestry and they had to help put it out. we had to file a report and in the contract for the land it says that we cant set a fire of any kind (camp fire etc..) and if we do we could loose the land. needless to say were pissed off.

that blows. good luck on finding whoever did it. however, here is the positive. the ground will now be able to grow fresh and become full of nutrients for next huntin season. they burn a few certain areas every year on public land where i do a good bit of huntin and the animals love it once everything starts to grow back. have seen tons of turkey, deer, squirrels, and birds on it. even the bears love it. I have seen 3 or 4 different bears runnin around in there. hopin to kill one this year even. so this year it might not do anything but it might help next year

At least it looks like it was mostly cutover, not good standing timber. It will be prime forage next spring.

Anytime is a good time to correct grammar, man. :D

Being completely serious now. . .

The hunting will improve next season, land destruction always sucks but the beauty of nature is that it will grow back better than before.

Just hang in there man.
