    Sorry to hear that.
On our previous truck, someone keyed the tailgate for a Christmas present while we were shopping at the mall. I suppose I should have been more appreciative of such a generous gift, but I was to piised off at the time.

how do you know if that was intentional? when i think of key mark, im thinking of a loong ass deep line. sucks though man, should hide it well, some touch up then a good clay job and some buff should do the trick, at least hide it

I agree. The paint on our truck blows IMO. I have chip marks down to the primer all over the place and only 20k on the odometer.

I'm sorry and...oh I know the feeling! However, seeing it from the picture you posted, it could have happened anywhere and not intentionally like a shopping cart. Good luck trying to fix it up with touch it paint or whatever you plan on doing.

So you want to hear my story??? Lol. I have many car stories, but this is a Let's Key Tracy's Truck story...I got my truck the first week of February of last year for an early graduation present. It was pouring hard the first week I got my truck and never thought about checking my truck in the rain. However, after the rain had stopped, I was walking towards my passenger side of my truck and noticed something across it. I came closer and it was a huge ass key mark from the front of my truck to the back of my truck...now THAT IS INTENTIONALLY! I had some of my brother's friends buff it out for me and it was bad...it went through the paint so not all of it had came out. My conclusion was that someone was envious of me (most female ain't got nothing on me ) and took it out on my beautiful truck!

I agree, I have dog nail paws going vertically down my door from my loved dogs when I come home from work. :(

    Lol.

I had my truck scratched last year by a stupid chick that i took to school when i was standing right there. she got out of my truck and had to much stuff in her arms to use her hands so she decided to kick the door shut, and my truck had mud on it. she left like 8 huge scratches across the door probably over a foot long and i cant buff them out!

    Oh SinCityTaco,
    I so understand your feelings...
My son opened my wife's door in the garage and hit my Tacoma hard. So hard in fact I heard it from inside. My wife quickly turned around with eyes wide open as if to protect her child from approaching harm! Well, I passed her quick beating her to the garage to only pick up my son and say in a calm voice you are NEVER to open another door in this garage or anywhere else where there is a car next to mommy's. You got it! He says "Yes Dad." I left it at that.
To this day, I still see it and as much as it drives my CRAZY :goingcrazy: to see it every day, I've learned to live w/ it for now. Yes, eventually I will get it popped out as much as I know you will put touch up paint on that mark and buff it out.
Sorry to hear about it. On another note, I should tell you about the time my wife (back then gf) was reaching for her school bag in the bed of my hardbody with a jacket that had a zipper on it. Lo and behold she made a vertical scratch with that damn jacket. The kicker: The entire truck had been repainted a couple of weeks prior.
I guess it runs with her side of the family. :)

You pretty much said it....cowards...one of my dreams would be to catch one of these punks doing that to my car or someone else's....I'm sure that would be the last time they pulled bull shit like that...sorry about your luck dude...hopefully it doesn't cost too much to fix it.

Like some people brought up, that doesn't look intentional. If it was...what a pussy. I mean if you're gonna jack up someone's car, why not go all out instead of making a 4" scratch. I always pictured an intentional keying where it goes from the front to the back of the car. One time in college, I saw somebody key "BITCH" into the passenger side of someone's car. THAT was intentional. Don't know about this. Definitely sucks though. Hopefully won't be too costly to fix
