I was really happy with my buying experience at Avondale.

I wrote off Larry Miller many years ago when their sticker included "extra dealer profit."

I had a solid buying experience with Elvis, Fleet at Right Toyota.

I would not ever, ever go back for service.

Big Two in Chandler was awesome for sales and service, but too far from me.

Right Toyota on Bell is horrible - Sales and Service
Larry H Miller tried to bait and switch.

Avondale has a good service center. They seem to make less mistakes then the others.

I will advise against Autonation Tempe sales until my dying breath. Jesse Gray did his very best to completely fuck me over and over. Short synopsis - he got real pushy on trying to force me into a sale... but ended up offering a great price during his pitch. Printed the offer, he signed it, and we requested the truck. 3 months later, it shows up (the day after they told me it'd be another month) and they tell me to come in for the paperwork. I do, sit down, and the price on the paperwork was like $5,000 higher than what we agreed to. Long story short, he went with 'too bad, buy the truck or get out'. So I left. Autonation refused to trade that truck to any other dealer (likely to try to force me back. I was very particular about what I wanted).

And then I had a great experience with Earnhardt for sales. While not quite the deal that Jesse renegged on, they got me a great deal and were super amazing to work with (Thanks April and John!) and got me a truck with more options than I ordered in silver instead of mgm in about a week - same price!

Service was a different story. Hard to make reservations and they wouldn't provide rentals during multiday warranty work.

Ive had mostly good luck with service at Big Two - but I still have an air leak of some sort from my driver's side (sounds like a window is cracked at speed) that they can't seem to get a handle on. Everything else they have done is phenomenal in my book (including providing taco rentals when toyota demands that they keep my truck for multiple days).

Bought my 16 used, however all services have been done at Camelback Toyota and I've not had any issues.
In fact they had my truck for 62 days due to the differential recall, and tinted my two front windows for free for the inconvienance.
Thought that was awesome considering the recall had nothing to do with a local dealership.

I bought my truck and went to Avondale for my 10 and 15k and some warranty work. Their time tables suck but they got the work done.

I went to autonation since it is a lot more convenient for me (I'm 4 hours East of Phoenix) and I was amazed. They told me three hours. After two they came over and gave me my keys. That made me really happy.

Purchased my 12 DCSB used at Right Toyota in Scottsdale. Never again! Bad experience. Traded in my 09 prerunner that was lifted and everything I wanted except for 4X4.

Usually go to Autonation in Tempe for service or warranty work and they are usually pretty good.

Thought I would finally post after just browsing and soaking up the information for a long time.

Seems like letsgoplaces kinda fell off the interwebs... he hasnt logged in here in over a month, however his coworker Michael Stein did hit me up on fb once he heard I was looking to buy a tacoma after I move to AZ. Is his reputation just as good as Chris's is?

To get the best price on a Car use COSTCO's Auto Program, http://www.costcoauto.com/
You tell them what you are looking for, they find it, tell you where it is at. The price was $400 over their cost. They have to show you what they paid. You get the rebates, you can still trade in your old car. I saved $4000 on my new truck. I went in and did the work with out them so I could find the truck i wanted with the options the said it was the best price. I would have paid that but I knew Costco would be better. Went to site, fill out what I wanted, they held the same truck, went in and paid $4000 less.

I will only shop this way. give it a try. you will save.

If you have a problem, let Costco know, they take care of any issues.

Had Riverview Toyota do my 20K service which included and oil change only to discover during the next oil change that I did myself that they had failed to replace the filter. I know this because I did the oil change prior to the 20K change and the filter I used was still in there, not the Toyota filter that they use. The 2 filters are easily distinguishable.
The service manager spoke with the senior tech that had done my oil change and they claimed that they might have been out of filters and had to purchase one from the parts store. I believe there is about a 0% chance that they would have gone and purchased the exact same filter that I use as it is a high end $17 filter, not one of the common filters that you would typically find at your local parts store.
Even though I had the old filter and my receipt as evidence the service manager said that there was no proof that this happened other than my word which he was questioning.
Do not trust these people with your car.
