I went to the dealership for a whistling noise I am getting with my 2013 Tacoma; while I was waiting on this truck. It looks great, but for the price.. I am not too sure. Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

    What do you think?

There's no way in hell I'd pay $43 for that. I'm not seeing anywhere near $10k in 'upgrades'. What kind of lift was on it?

Way overpriced!!! That's crazy! I do love the fender flares and was thinking of pogoing up a set for my truck. I agree ^ the wheels are cheap looking, don't like chrome anyway. They are making well above what they put into that truck if they sell it.

Does it make anyone else mad that the dealership, knowing they are raping someone on this deal does, it anyway?

    what's a 1yr wash tub?

I think the dealerships build "showcase" vehicles to help widen the age bracket that would be interested in buying a certain car/truck. Then the problem is getting rid of it for a profit, which is what they're trying to do here.

Not at all. They are there to make money and if someone is dumb enough to pay it, power to them. With the internet, anyone could go online and price those parts out themselves and find out what the dealership is really making off of them but, if they're too lazy and have the money to spend, they can pay the price of their ignorance.

Keep in mind, the dealership has parts and labor into that package price. They have purchased all the parts up front, paid for it all, had to pay their techs to install it all and have to warranty it once it's sold to the customer. They aren't going on Amazon and searching for the best deal on every part and not installing it in their driveway and saving on labor costs. In the end, I'd be willing to bet they net 15-20% on the 'package' upgrade which isn't bad considering that it is a financial risk for them.

Washtub is a car washing joint. I have a year deal with them and it's a lot cheaper then what the dealers pay for it.

I used to work at a place that converted vans for handicapped use and we also did truck accessories/conversions. We did "conversions" for several local dealers and they charged a minimum of 100% over what we charged them. Any warranty work/replacement of added parts was done through us by the dealer. It was comical the number of people that paid $700-$800 for Westin step bars, but people would do it so that they could finance the accessories in with their truck. It was free money for the dealer with no risk involved.

As per the norm: bull bar, side steps, fender flares, wheels = $10,000.

EDIT: Forgot about the (likely revtek) leveling kit, THERE IT IS, now it all adds up . . .

I guess your right, someone will def buy it. Still think it's bull... But lets not get carried away with how much they make, I did consider all those costs (labor, warranty) it does not add up to $10k

Agree with everyone else, also like everyone else said.. someone will buy it. I'm not seeing the "conversion" part of it though, am I missing something?
