I'm sure you could sell them on here easily. Hell I even thought about adding a small lift shackle to my leafs at one point just for an extra inch of lift, since most AALs usually do 1.5" - 2". Not the end of the world to run lift shackles with lifted leaf packs. Blocks/spacers are the ones you want to avoid stacking lifts with.

The real danger comes from having too much lift and blowing out your shocks or brake line if it's not long enough

At least you made an attempt at lifting both ends, rather than just lifting the rear and driving around with no front lift for months...

I'm looking at "stacking" lifts when I get my Deavers. I already have a 1" shackle on my stock leafs, and the 1.5" from the J59's should get me the lift I want without over extending anything.

yeah I know there are at least a few guys on here running lift shackles with lifted leaf springs, no big deal really just want to make sure you aren't overdoing the lift amount for your shocks and brake lines, pinion angle, etc.

I’m just not on it today. Just looked up the shackles I bought from wheelers. They’re 1/2” not 1.5”. Like I said...new to this :bananadead:

    Ok so yes and no.

What's funny is, Wheeler's offers that set with 2 different length shocks which would correlate with what our trucks require.

The length both collapsed and expanded are also similar to Bilstein 5100's, so you can rest assured that they will indeed work with a 2-3" lift.

Now here's what's funny; the shock replacement for our trucks on Fox website suggests a shock with a similar length to the shorter of the 2 found from Wheeler's which would mean a 7" traveling shock.

The longer of the 2 found from Wheeler's pair is an 8" traveling shock.

Since I had ordered via part number, I opted to go with Fox universal shock to ensure the 8.10" of traveling rears. My mistake being that the valving was meant for a heavier truck, etc. I found this out after talking to 2 different people at Fox and 1 person at Wheeler's. When I had asked Wheeler's about the Fox shocks they offer, they told me my feedback mimics that of what other customers have told them.

So yes, they are essentially valved the same as my universal shocks, and since you're adding a ton of weight they should work fine for your needs.

However, the direct replacement from the Fox website is valved differently...

Gotcha, gotta love how part numbers and different websites/pictures and descriptions can mess things up. Maybe I’ll go with those in the rear and Kings up front. I know that’s a bit of a no-no to loyalists but king doesn’t make rear shock that can do 3” soooo

I don't know what jbrandt runs in the rear, but eon_blue runs Icon in the rear with King up front.

I'll be running Bilstein in the rear with King up front until I relocate my rear shocks.

Sorry if you’ve already explained this and I missed it, but what made you wanna go from the fox in the rear to bilsteins?

    Two reasons;

    1. I suspected something was off with the Fox shocks as I questioned the ride quality only to find out the valving, as described above, was different

    2. While running the Fox, I ordered the Bilsteins because it was a cheap way to test my theory. If I didn't like the Bilsteins, I'd have either back ups or I could just give them away

With all the weight I carry, the Fox were great especially off road (if you carry around weight). But since I blew a seal, I removed them and installed the Bilstiens in their place. Good thing I had those back ups right?

Well as my previous posts have stated I’m going to be carrying a shit ton of weight. So maybe the rear fox are the best bet.

I'd run rear bumper, sliders, bed rack, RTT, and tire gate when I had the Fox in the rear.

Now I've got a bumper up front as well so my damn truck is a porker.

    Old ass 5100s

Plan is to get some match Kings, but those will likely have to be semi custom since I'm not sure how I'm going to set the rear up.

    No big deal, just :spending:

Having good bump stops in the rear was a good choice for me when carrying a bunch of weight...bouncing around offroad would cause the back end to bottom out at times and softer/taller bumps makes it a lot easier on the truck and people in the cab. I have the Wheelers Superbumps in the rear

Just the regular superbumps, Kings are great though a bit stiff if you don't have weight up front on the 600# springs. But the float nicely offroad especially aired down in the tires.

That's weird, I know a guy with remote resi Kings on his 1st gen but he custom ordered them I believe
