I saw 4th gen in person
    They are nice looking.
They are just too much money for a midsize truck.
    Just my two cents

    You know…….
My first Tacoma was a 17’ model
Because that was the first time I could afford one.
It would be interesting to me to compare the price jump of a 2nd gen to 3rd gen.
Maybe I was the same person who paid too much for next generation in comparison.
Maybe they looked at me like we now look at the 4th gen…

Wonder how close the the price jump was compared to each?

I was thinking more the loadmouth know it all type myself. He has absolutely no interest in an “overpriced” Tacoma and will never buy one yet he trolls the 4th gen forum. You watch he will be along any time now to tell us how wrong we are….cause he knows it all.

    2 cents…

I have zero interest in what you paid. I’ll do my own deal.

    Media reviews seem positive.

The hybrid is not for me.

I’d expect the turbo four will be great for commuting and wheeling, but I haul and tow. That engine has to move power through four crank arms, instead of six.

I like my 2020. Enough for 70k miles after 2.5 years ownership since new. If I get my way, she will be traded off at about 105,000 miles. It’ll still be a nice truck. Time for the new Taco or Ranger Raptor to shake out. Whichever looks better then will be my next truck.

$50k+repairs lol. Just wait until the honeymoon period is over and they start towing, wheeling mudding etc. Service depts better clear their calendars

Thanks for the honest personal over view . I heard the 4 banger sounds horrible with a lot of ticking coming from the motor and ricer sounding exhaust note. Turbo spool though I heard sounded good. To bad it doesn’t sound like a truck . Looking forward to test driving one although my 3rd gen isn’t going anywhere anytime soon love that truck .

I’ll bet the guys rockin the 2015 4.0’s said the same thing about your “weak” 3.5 V6. It’s unproven, it’s a car motor. Every generation owner eventually comes to the reality that their truck isn’t the coolest anymore.

I bet most Taco owners lean to the pragmatic and somewhat old school side like that

The V6 sounds terrible too. These aren’t V8s.

That's always been true but bet that changes with the 4G. Outrageous prices and styling is attracting a whole new crowd.

Disagree the V6 sounds 10 times better than that 4 banger . Definitely not a v8 but at least it’s not half of a v8

The 4 cylinder that makes way more torque than the 6? That one?

... and will give you 350,000 miles if you just change the oil and filter every once in a while..... yeahhhhh..... that's the one. I have a v6. I think it's going to last a long time.... but 350,000? We'll see.
