    So i took a 2012 4x4 manual V6 and i basically added 2 major upgrades:

    1) Icon suspension: its set to default height icon ships at (i think the front needs a small bump up). Tubular uniball UCA, extended travel front coil-overs, rear leaf-pack and rear shocks (no resis).
    2) tires: stock 245/75/16 --> 265/75/16 (~31.65'') using cooper discoverer AT3's the 560AB, 116T's and are 4ply due to the 2700+ load rating.

    With that said, i basically haul dirt bikes and motorcycles thats it... and i want to take the silverback out this year a bunch with my bikes and do both some 4x4 in the truck, with some camping and riding.

    some of these trails say "4wd recommended" vs "high clearance 4wd required" vs "extreme 4wd required" <-- dusy ershim seems to require a full rig (surpised to see front + rear locker, all armor, a bunch of terms im not even really familar with, plus a ton of recovery gear).

    So can some experienced drivers let me know what i can attempt this year with my current setup? I will have either a C02 or ARB compressor added to air-down before i go as well... but im not planning to add anything else for 2015.

    the feedback is much appreciated.

    While you have additional clearance and better tires you still have one major limiting factor. You don't have a locker in the rear. I recommend that your next major purchase be a locker of somesort. Finding a factory electric locking rear axle out of a wrecked truck would most likely be your cheapest option.

    Until you get the locker you'll need to be sure to have recovery gear. Traction boards, snatch straps, Tow straps and a Highlift jack should be considered the minimum. Also don't wheel alone.

    I would say that with your current setup "high clearance 4wd required" should not be a problem as long as you're careful. If you think you're getting in over your head then turn around or find another way.

    There's also the old way of thinking. Only go in as far as 2WD will take you so 4WD can get you out but where's the fun in that :)

    A little a this, a little a that...
    I agree. High clearance 4wd roads should be fine. Extreme: no. You'll be able to do a lot of trails with your set up. Just spot ahead on difficult sections and don't be afraid to turn around before it's too late.
