    1) No frame or subframe or fender fascia brackets or any of that was bent. Restore to stock or take the cash and do a chop for cbi or something sick... reccomendations!
    2) what would you value the diminished value of this truck now that it has an accident report? Have about 40k in truck brand new. Tech package, assisted lane departure and adaptive cruise...
    3) 6MT being a manual will that help or hurt me? If I were to resell today what's the new value assuming the front bumper is repaired professionally?
This Truck has 21k on the odo and has no scratches besides the obvious, drives like it is still in the lot, I wash and vacuum weekly. What's a fair price if I were to sell based on this incident!

I had 300 miles on my 15 G2 and a freaking little buck committed suicide on the side of it taking out my left finder and both doors. 5000 worth of damage. I called insurance company after everything was fixed and mentioned Diminished Value and two weeks later they sent me a check for 1500 bucks. Which is I'm guessing the amount of value I lost due to the accident. Hey that helped my pay for wheels and tires.

That's a few hundred in damage, not thousands. I think your value will be fine. If you're worried about that, go buy the parts and put them on yourself.

The entire front bumper needs to be replaced, my bet it's around 1500 to 2000 on a estimate.

That is surprising since most insurance policies exclude diminished value in first party claims like yours. Usually only available when an insurance company other than your own is paying the bills.

Not. That's a few hundred or more in paint alone.

That's why I got the grill guard, these trucks are designed to break up on impact of people and objects. 20190514_162825.jpg

Those grille guards are a great way to bend your frame with the extra leverage while providing almost no protection from anything significant.

This, that’s why they are called damage multipliers. But hey, if he’s happy with it

Might be a Georgia thing I don't know. If I had not called and asked though I would not have got it. The guy at the body shop gave me the heads up. I gave him a good review later. lol

If it were me, the damage is light enough that I'd rather not report it to insurance. I had one insurance company try to raise my rates the year after I claimed a $50 windshield chip repair, and they cited that as one of the factors for the increase. (I politely declined to renew the policy and shopped elsewhere, citing that one of my factors.) If the repair is under 2 grand, sometimes you wind up paying less in the long run if you just eat the cost yourself.

Also, I'd recommend a dashcam for those pesky hit and runs. :angrygirl:

Anker Roav C1 Pro. Bought it after I got whacked. Has been good for catching funny driving antics on the road too.

203272F5-E776-4E05-89C8-6EB96CDD2047.jpg Tore up my bumper at a parking lot at u-haul. While I was inside they moved a tow dolly in front of my truck and when I came out and started to drive off I hit the hitch and poked a big hole in my bumper.
Damage was around 1200.00 and my insurance deductible was a 1000 so I just said the hell with it and had this one made in aluminum then powder coated to match.
    Pretty happy with it.CD68A6C6-3974-45BB-9C6E-C4E40BEA1EB5.jpg

That’s one of the best looking front bumpers I’ve seen for the Gen 3’s!

This may be true so I hired a company to file a motion for diminished value. We have a right to be paid for our damaged vehicle and loss in clean title value tho yes? I mean wouldn't the insurance companies lose everytime?. To be clear I have other guys insurance paying me not my own.

Tho wouldn't one lose more than 1500 for a brand new vehicle that now has an accident report?
