Somebody scratched my Tacoma LIM 2017

So like a month ago I grabbed my brand new Tacoma Limited 2017 quicksand color.

She is beautiful. I guess because she is beautiful somebody decided to scratch her really bad.

The scratch looks intentional. It looks like if it was done with a screw or something like that. I have no problems with nobody so it looks like they just felt like doing it.

I have to pay up to 500 bucks. If it exceeds the insurance is going to pay the difference. So yes, it does sucks.

The only places I parked was at my work (Naval Base), shopping and my apartment. Most likely was at the shopping.

Guys just be careful with where you park and who is jealous of your success. I learned to take a quick look around the truck just so I can know exactly where it happened if it does happens again. I advice the same to everybody from now on.

That sucks. If I ever saw somebody doing that to a vehicle (especially a new pretty one) I'd have a hard time not shooting them. Whether it was mine or not, lol.

Some people are just dicks, though. It could have been some completely random asshole who'll never own a new vehicle so he figured he'd f*ck up somebody else's.

To get that scratch out you'll definitely need the entire panel repainted. There is no way to "touch it up" or fill that scratch in and make it disappear, or bring it back to the quality that it was. To some that may be obvious, but just wanted to let you know so you don't get dicked around by the insurance company. So sorry this happened to you, I know I would be sick.

 

That or some dumbass kids showing out in front of each other. Saw a group of the worlds finest teenage assholes grazing through a few parking lots and one ended up doing a complete body slam on someone's car hood before they all took off.

I went to a friend's house for drinks and cards one night a few years ago, and came out to a busted driver's side mirror. Came to find out I wasn't alone, every car on the street had also been hit. Just some punks out looking to break shit. It's frustrating as hell because you'll likely never know who did it.

 

Hate that for you, man. Hopefully the insurance company will be easy to work with.
My previous truck was a Frontier. Used, nothing fancy. But the first night I had it I parked it on the street in front of my house and somebody threw a cinder block onto the hood. Turns out they hit three other cars in my neighborhood. No reason. Just random acts of meanness.
