Truck has lasted a few trips no issues so it's been nice but are these projects ever really done?
So was gonna post the truck up officially for sale got a offer but wasn't on board and neither was the wife lol so gave me motivation to officially make my goal for the truck official. SO I'll be switching over to the dark side. TTB swap with redoing the firewall and whole front end, complete re wire, and never thought I'd say it but a v8 swap. Gonna be a few years to get started but end goal is gonna be what I dreamed of doing with my old white truck. It'll be different

    I don't. haha

Just drive it and enjoy it while it's running good. Best to enjoy what you have than cut it all apart for 2-4 more years.

This is gonna happen in a couple years. Definitely gonna enjoy it for the time but gonna start planning and possibly collect parts for a while. Have a lot to learn
Spent so long with the white truck down and then finishing up this truck that I'm definitely not jumping into the beams etc lightly lol need to have some fun first

How much travel are you pulling up front with that bump height?

Love this build, so much inspiration!
What kind of fenders and bedsides do you have? Sorry if it’s been asked before, lots of thread to read through

Are you happy with the 5:29s and 35s? I'm going to be re gearing soon, also have a super charger and will be going to 35s, but I'm torn between 4:88s and 5:29s

Thanks man They are glassworks 7" or whatever the new name of the company is now.
As far as having good power through out I'd say yes. Doesn't seem sluggish. As far as highway it's like 3k+rpms though. City and off road it's amazing but I would think 4.88s if I were to drive it highway a lot

So I got good news and some BAD NEWS. Good news is the truck didn't burn down. Bad news is the truck caught fire.... long story short someone left a rag on my header after doing my timing belt(family member) didn't check and test drove it home and it caught fire. I pulled over after seeing the smoke and ripped one of my many fire extinguisher off the truck and was able to get it out with little damaged and keeping the truck alive. So now the truck is going to set for a while. Probably years until I decide what I want. Pictures don't look bad but not wanting to dump money on it I feel I'm wanted a motor swap and ttb so yea. Sucks since beginning of the year I bought a tow rig and was looking at campers and a trailer to make a booming season.

Doesn't look too bad if it was just that one spot. Could probably splice back together that section of the harness and get some use out of it before the end of the season

Why TTB when your getting similar travel numbers with the Solo XLT system? Am I missing something?

Yeah fuck that noise man. Just patch that up, new coil pack. Yer grippin and rippin.

I don't see the point either of a TTB at the moment..Engine swap, I can get that.

But hell seems like you've barely got to enjoy it. I'd patch it up and run it.

Based on seeing the front x member taking a big hit I'm thinking getting rid of the front diff to have better ground clearance at bump, but yeah if the main engine harness is unmelted I have most connectors you might need from the injectors etc.
