So no real progress. Pull the truck from Jeff end of December and I finally dropped the truck off at solo to actually get work done on Friday the 9th of march. Most work will be cut out and redone.... sadly got the blunt end of the stick. On to better things new idea for the truck is most likely back half like this truck with simple storage
    IMG_8994.jpg IMG_8996.jpg

Hoping to have the truck done by this up coming season

I don't get why he gets good credit from people . Sad to hear when you gotta redo expensive and labor intensive work.

Gave up - Solo pointed out enough mistakes they wanted to have a fresh start...

    say what?

I mean jeff just kinda dropped off the face of the earth. You saying the people at Solo pointed out so many flaws in his work he just stopped?

Sorry, no Jeff just stopped working on it and Solo wants to back half it rather than fixing mistakes they found in the rear caging.

Jeff is a good dude. Not sure what really happened but after the time it was there with the little amount of work and the unfinished part I pulled it to get my truck to a different shop. Been to long not driving my truck to have it sit for longer and not have anything done to it

So after being told every piece of tubing in my truck would have to be cut out decided to buy a truck swap parts and make the new truck what I wanted on my original build. SOOO :anonymous:
    IMG_9076.jpg
Got myself a very nice built truck and plan is to have solo swap and do the front end, put my seats in the rear to make a 4 seater, small things to make it mine. Plus throw my S/C on this bad boy. New front gears and axles and rip this thing in the desert :burnrubber:IMG_9070.jpgIMG_9072.jpgIMG_9080.jpg

Bummer to read all the tubing work from the old truck is a waste. This "new" truck is awesome! I've seen the build on it, it's a SOLID platform to build on. Double cab long bed first gen! One of one (or maybe a few)

Looking forward to see what's coming

Nice! That's a great built truck.

I'd suggest leaving the 5.29s. They are an epic gear for 35s and with boost. Super fun.

Yea. Gonna keep the 5.29s. Gotta get the gears for the front diff. Can't wait to see the difference with headers and the S/C added.

I don't have headers..and my blower pings. But it is fun as hell. I have a manual too so I'm even lower geared. It'll be awesome to have though.

    Hell yea. Even better

Well on my truck only pings when I was in 5th and under 2200 RPMS. So hopefully with the fuel management and a good tune and my bigger injectors it'll be good on this truck:fingerscrossed:

Just when I though this couldn’t get any better! Think you guys can’t use methanol in CA right? If you can I would highly recommend it.

You don't have the 7th injector kit?

Nice buy! Swapping the kit is gonna make that truck so much better. And having four seats. Next truck I build will be 4 seater for me later down the road.

Decided to pull some stuff from the truck to get ready to drop it off at solo.they have a toyota guy so figured once I get a quote I'll decide if I'll do some of the work I can or just pay someone. Pulled supercharger, the 6 upgraded injectors, injector wires, and the computers. Also decided to pull intake. Then got the windshield motor and wipers off to see if solo can work their magic and make them work. Still need to do all the ac and heater stuff. But will happen maybe Tuesday when I'm off
IMG_9173.jpg IMG_9174.jpg IMG_9175.jpg IMG_9177.jpg IMG_9178.jpg Excuse the mess. Still waiting for solo to add up the list of things and give me a quote to do it all. We shall see. Already want it back.
