I'm talking working angle of the u-joint; sounds like you're talking about angle of the shafts.

    A carrier drop alone will:
    -increase A
    -lower B
    -lower C

But I get what you're saying; it's a balancing act.

With shim alone, A doesn't increase and C will decrease.

Instead of the 2.5 degree shim, a 5 degree shim would be:
    (3.7)+(2.3)+(-6.4)=-0.4

I’ve tried everything from 3* degree shim and milled it down .5* each test. Never got rid of the vibrations. Test included different carrier drop spacer at each shim .5* change.

some get lucky and through parts on and get no vibration and some like me can never eliminate it.

the only true Vib delete is a one piece drive shaft.

Agreed and I think shims the best place to start.

Maybe but you will have a greater angle at the transfer case. Have you put it on stands and checked run out with a dial indicator just for grins? You should be able to get angles B and C really close to stock, at the expense of angle increase at A. Hopefully other measurements gets you back to good. I got lucky and didn't have to chase it.
