Hello, there! I sure do miss those old magazine covers.

Up here, there's still some OG minitrucks running around. Nice to see the old Xrunners also.

POS ecoboost and worst cvt hybrid crap from Ford . Mechanics are salivating knowing how much overtime they are going to make fixing and repairing these crappy ass engines.

I heard that the newer gen EBs have gotten better? But, the overall quality has dropped. I have only driven an early Nissan and our Subaru CVTs. They just suck all around, IMHO.

The Maverick or the BTTF comparison in general?

Of course. Personal preferences are great like that.

I'm a big extend cab fan.

I tried to take my Softopper off for the summer of 2020. That lasted all of a week and hasn't been off since except when hauling something big.

There are a few 1st Gens running around here with soft toppers. Looks killer to my eyes.

Too many horror stories from the EB engines. I would stay away from them until proven reliable.

I leased a 2017 Accord Sport for commuting and it was automatic with CVT. It was awful, horrible. Nothing sport about flooring it and just seeing and hearing the RPM pegged at redline and the fucker barely accelerating. After a year I sold it off . They should stop making CVTs. Who even asked for these damm CVTs???

That's what I'm saying. I know the 1st Gens were notorious, but have been hearing that the 2nd Gens and on have corrected the issues. I haven't dug deep though.

We've had a few turbo vehicles (nothing USDM) and have not really had a problem. A couple VVT sensor issues on our Subaru, but I kinda blame the stupid maint plan that we agreed to. Long story.

Interesting. Folks typically say that the Honda CVT is the best of the bunch. Never had to opportunity to sample it.

I do agree though. Been hating CVTs since the 80s when my folks bought a PoS mower with one. Tried to kill more than once.

Wow what an ugly car, Do they have Doc's time machine? Maybe they can go back in time and get it right.

My first pickup. ‘88 Toyota. Bought it new. Didn’t even know the “McFly” connection when I bought it. It looks more like a McFly pick up than the Ford maverick. IMHO …

This was my dream truck for a long time growing up as a kid (along with probably most of us here in our 40'sand 50's!)
I think someone needs to make some similar looking bumpers for our 3rd gens:thumbsup:
