Been working on this for a few days now. Most of the wiring is done and waiting for the seats to get finished. I thought I would share images from the rear seats heating element install, as all I have seen online and around are people doing the front seats; but, living in northern Wisconsin and using the truck as a family hauler it seemed unfair to just heat the front.

I pulled the lower seats out-two 12 mm bolts each on the bottom of the seat pan(s). The covers are easy to get off-just pry up the plastic pinch edge! Once loose, there are a few hog rings that need to be cut-two on the fore/aft wire (on one side only) and two on the center wire. Easy! Install heater pad per instructions. This is the same for both sides back there, but unless the center is getting a pad, on the passenger side bench you are only doing the seat.

Now things get harder... where to run the wires. These seats flip forward; however, I didn't want to run the wires out the front as you might feel/see them. Instead, there are a pair of factory holes with plastic grommets on the back bottom side of the pan(s). using these, I didn't need to drill any holes at all! I cut off the kit plug from the harness and extended the wires about 3 feet or so and added exterior expandable shielding material. I used some left over wire tie sticky things to tie the wires down along the underside to get back to the front edge. I also set them up to meet at the split, so the passenger side required a bit more run to get there.

Once I got the wires through the hole I reinstalled the covers using new hog rings and snapped the edge back into place. I took out the storage cubby and found a factory hole right at the gap where the seats meet to run the wires into to cubby space. Once the uppers are finished, these wires will be fished over to the back of the center consul where the control/switches are to be placed-more on that later.
