Needed to put some kind of emblem so I went one of the old Tacoma badges that I took off the truck when I de-badged. I wanted it to look different so I took some Scotch Brite maroon pad and sanded it. I was going for a brushed look or similar to a stainless steel look. I think it worked great, hopefully the pics will show it. It took all of 5 minutes to do and cost me nothing since I had the stuff laying around. I think a pad of Scotch Brite isnt but a few bucks anyways. I still need to paint the parts in between the letters so they look seperate. Just something different and a small detail you have to see up close to notice. Let me know what yall think!!! Thanks.

I forgot to add, I didnt strip the chrome, I sanded the chrome down and it looked like this. Just dont go too far and end up in the bare plastic. If anyone is interested I have a few extra "Tacoma" badges laying around and I can prolly do 2 or 3 more of them.

That looks good. I love the look of stainless steel. I think I might try it on my truck and if I don't like it I could just de-badge afterwards.

I think you should do the grille the same way. I like it.

Thanks man. I thought about doing that to see how it would look. If it doesn't turn out good I plan on painting it anyways. I'm thinking of doing one of the small Toyota badges for the tailgate to match the grill emblem.

Hey looks great and a pretty cool idea, can you take a pic of it farther away so we can see the whole front to get a more balanced look

Pep boys. It was a little pricey but it's pretty sturdy stuff so it holds up well.

Nice! I did the same thing awhile back while I was waiting for my devil horns to show up.

Attached below; original chrome, painted dark grey, devil horns.

Looks great bro! I like the devil horns. Where did you get the eyelids from? I had the trex 2's on my black Tacoma but I like the ones you have that don't dip down.
