Sometimes my doors don't lock

I use the key card in my pocket as my key.

Sometimes when I get out and touch the door handle the truck locks, beeps once and we are good.

Sometimes for no reason I get out, touch the door handle, it beeps once as normal and then beeps like 4-6 times and the doors do not lock.

I use my truck for work and stop at a lot of places each day and literally in the same day it will do this randomly. One time it is fine. The next time it doesn't lock.

I never leave my phone in the truck which I get could cause this as I use my phone app as well for remote start etc.

The only time it has done this is when the card(wife leaves purse) is left in the truck so I am assuming that it is detecting the key still in the truck and not locking because of that.

    Plethora of "useless" shit
Mine did something like this with 1 beep then multiple when I first picked it up, but I don’t recall it not locking. Drove me nuts figuring it out. Not sure if this is your cause but it was tied to when you unlock the truck then open the back door to put something in the back seat. When you get out and try to lock it the extra beeps are telling you that you left something in the backseat, like a child because some of the population is dumb
You can turn this “feature” off in the settings on the cluster. I don’t recall the setting name right now. Try that and see if that’s your cause.

Yeah I can see on the app that the doors are "unlocked". I can then lock them via the app. Maybe it is still detecting the key card. Maybe I will try with the standard key for a few days and see if that is it. It would suck as I really like not carrying the fob.
I will play with this. I don't think it is the case as many times I just jump out and know I don't open any of doors.

Good luck getting it fixed. I forgot about the back seat thing as well....I want to say it did that to me once and then I turned it right off.

I'm throwing stuff in the back seat all the time as that's about all it's good for now that we're empty nesters (for now...we'll see after college graduation this spring!)

Seat's too small for anything 'cept a middle schooler anyway. Storage is it's main purpose.

I'll keep an eye out for the unlocking/locking. I've noticed it's quirky too. I just thought it's cause I am still gettng used to the truck. Like the OP, I really like the key card. Keep it in my wallet so I never have to carry the fob.
