Here's the diagram of the MIL Circuit; Malfunction Indicator Lamp, also called Check Engine Light. Who knew? I didn't.

I also attached the full PDFs.

It would seem odd for one pin in the connector to give up the goose all by it's lonesome, especially if it's been plugged in since manufacturing installed it, but I suppose its possible. Seems like it's just not making a full connection. It could be something further down the line but I would guess that the problem is isolated to that connector and wires since putting a bit of pressure on it seems to temporarily fix it.

Exactly! Too bad the Toyota techs aren't this smart!

    Here's the colour diagram.

#9 from 1B goes to the 7.5A fuse and the Purple wire comes from the #3 pin on the 1J connector.

The Brown wire runs to the ECM.

The full PDF is also attached.

Keep us posted! I can dive back into the diagrams if need be.

After a week, the tech seems to think it was the pin, said he tightened it and it didn't give him any issues for several days. So only time will tell. Thank you @ohcaltexscar for all of the diagrams and time you put into helping!

    Happy to lend a hand!

I'm glad it sounds like a simple (and inexpensive) fix!

Wrightscs what ended up being the fit to it, my 07 is doing the same thing and the only electrical modifications made was a set of fog light and an after market radio.
