What a mess. You guys are in my thoughts up there. Air quality is pretty shitty in Berkeley, I can't even imagine what its like up there

I jedi-mind tricked a few checkpoints to confirm my worst fears.... total loss. If anyone is wondering no houses on Linda lane survived the firestorm.

If anyone needs a hand PM me...I'm camped out in a vineyard in Sebastopol tonight. I'll be heading into Upper Hidden Valley to check on my parents' house when the curfew is lifted.

Their neighborhood got hit pretty hard from what I've seen from friends on fb that have gone back in to check on their homes.

Side note, DCSB is not always FTW

 

I should add that I have tools with me (rake/shovels/etc.).

I've got a shower and washer/ drier available for use. Let me know. I can aid in evacuation stuff as well all of today.

 

Parents house is still standing. Along with all the homes along Bonita Vista and the courts that are off Bonita Vista. Some neighbors spotted suspicious people in the area last evening....hard to say if they were looters or just trying to see the damage to the neighborhood.

At least one house had a door kicked in with no evidence of fire on the property when I was walking around earlier.

Two fire trucks putting out hot spots in the neighborhood currently.

 

Healdsburg is under pre evac status and Windsor is getting ready for the same. Fires are expected to merge and winds are blowing lines south towards Windsor/north Santa Rosa.

Only direction advised to evacuate is south.

You guys watch your ass, we’re getting ready to evacuate (again).

 

My heart goes out to all the north bay peeps. I've been through big fires before but never seen anything like this. There's whole neighborhoods that aren't just burned, they're leveled like a tornado came thru. Everyone keep your guard up, the winds are going to pick back up and these fires are moving super fast.

I'm down in Marin if anyone needs a place to stay.
