I just wanted to say congrats to your kids! Very glad to see the young ones hunting instead of playing video games all the time. Rifle season starts here Saturday morning!! I still haven;t mastered my Mathews yet...lol Dog season starts in December, can hardly wait, is that a southern thing or do you western fellas run dogs as well? We need them to help us out down here in the swamp!:) Can't wait to drop that tailgate and let em run!!

Outstanding! Does my heart good to see the future of hunting in the works! I have the same fond memories of my new hunters and some pics that I'll have to share in the "huntin' thread"... heck, I didn't know there was one. LOL.

Tell that young man I said much CONGRATS! Looks like his shot placement was spot on as well.

Oh, and congrats to you for doing it right with him. Not to mention props to you for having the safety harness / drag combo outfitted for him. Always safety first no matter what! Good job Dad.

Ah yes! I see that now. I should have known that from the picture of your son.

1 - your ethics are showing, in the tasteful manner in which the deer is positioned. I really like that.

    and

2 - your dedication to hunting is showing, specifically archery hunting, in what your young hunter has on his feet.

    Rep for you my friend!

(I'll PM ya a couple hunting pics... so as not to divert any shine from this thread. Kudos again bud!)

Yes, we had to tidy up the deer and position him right to give him the respect he deserved as the beautiful creation of God that he is. Most don't notice or practice that. What you have noticed tells me of your hunting ethics as well. Kudos to you Mark!!

Yes i agree with you guys on hunting ethics. Important issue to me also, i hate seeing deer paraded through town strapped to the back of an atv. Bow hunting seems to be where it is at for me in the future... BUT lots of practice remains to be had.lol Hope he gets another one this weekend!:D And I just found out about the hunting forum also. Hope yall do not get tired of me posting!

    Ben,

I can only imagine how great you must feel knowing that your children are growing up learning true life skills. Keep on teaching them and let your son know that we say congratulations to him for being patient and putting in the work. Looks like he tagged a nice one. Mine is not yet one year old but he already has his own fishing gear. Can't wait to show the world to him.
