You suck I wish I still had direct TV but I moved into a condo and my balcony faces the wrong way and my hoa wont let me put the dish outside of my balcony I would pay 2 maybe 3 times to have them back I hate m cable provider

 

Federal law, they can't do that.

They can provide recommended locations among those available that provide a good view of the bird, but they can not legally prohibit you from putting up a dish.

This was passed around 5 or 10 years ago. Impacted my HOA as well... we had the same policy and our management company brought it to the board's attention.

 

I can have the dish on my balcony which the state law there are in compliance with it's just a won't allow me to have it outside of the balcony and that's where would have to go to reach the satellite there is a clause in my hoa bylaws that I cannot put it outside my balcony but even if I wanted to put this on my balcony I have to apply for a waiver which is also rediculous but according to them that's the law and they are in compliance it's just too bad for me that my balcony facing the wrong way

The HOA bylaws do not supersede Federal law/FCC regulations.

If you can get a signal at "point A" and at "point B", the HOA can force you to put it at "point B", but they can not prohibit mounting if it is done so in a manner that is safe and causes no damage to the structure.

We have owners who have simply mounted it to a cross of pressure treated 2x8's weighted with cinderblocks on the flat roof.

Damn, I'm in the middle of Season 3 (introduced to the show late) I've been playing catch up. I've DL'd Season 4, since Netflix doesn't carry it. Awesome show.

This hoa is the worst thing I've ever seen they are nazis they tried to fine me for my truck being too loud because. Leave for work at 6 am and the have a quite time from 9 pm to 9 am and I won that one because there landscapers come at 7 am again hit me with a notice because I rode my sons dirt bike around the complex I was trying to make sure everything was working right before we got out to the desert and there were a few more that I don't remember all the details

 

They need to be put in their place.

in the commercials they said the season 4 is out now. possibly on dvd, but i wouldnt think its on netflix yet.

 

Laws are one thing, what's agreed to in a lease is another. I used to work for one of the big 3 providers. These laws are tricky because most leases are written to exclude dishes on penetrating structure, but if balcony faces wrong way, u are shit out of luck.

 

Season 4 DVD released in Region-1 August 28.
Region 2 releases October 28th.

Usually, Blu-Ray is delayed a bit, but Amazon has S-4 for $40.
SoA is unusual... one of the guys I worked with was a huge fan but missed the first season. I was going to buy him the DVD for Christmas, but he didn't have a Blu-Ray player and it wasn't available on straight DVD.
