    His friend was in the oncoming vehicle lane (ie he was somewhere that he shouldn't have been) despite travelling in the same direction. Whether that means it's his fault or not, I'm not sure. However I am sure that the police would have been interested.

    What the heck was your friend doing driving on the wrong side of the road! Get his insurance to pay for it. If he says no, take him to small claims.

    Looks like a few thousand in damage to me.

    I was at a stop sign and you could only go right or left......but im going to make him pay 75% of it b/c we don't want to go to insurance b/c the rates will go up so much that it would be worse in the long run.

    If your not going to turn it in to insurance, and "make" him pay for 75% it is not really going to matter who's fault it is. Hopefully you can resolve the $ issue between the two of you. Good luck. Accidents are a PITA. Sorry to hear about your truck.:(
