Ordered a 17 Super White Tacoma 4x4 OR from Right Toyota in Scottsdale. Should be getting it in the next couple weeks or so.

I've been searching around the 3rd gen sub-forums and came across a couple popular topics and wanted to see if anyone local had some experience with these topics.

    1. Low ATF fluid. Any of you local guys run into this? If so, did the dealer handle it for you or did you have to fight to get it checked?

    2. Lack of grease in the U-Joints on the underside (4x4 trims only). Any of you guys experience this as well? If so, what are your thoughts/experience?

Looking forward to meet some of you guys.

Trans issue has been resolved in the 2017s to the best of my knowledge.

Haven't heard the U-Joint thing before

Sweet that's a relief, I wasn't able find a sure answer via the threads.

Oh, I was reading it had 2 vs the 5. That's good news too then.

Coming from an S4, I only have a 12oz cup holder and a red bull holder so I'm used to the smaller cup holders. haha

You could be right. I remember seeing a bunch of threads about no zerks on 2017 models but don't recall the fine details.

I have a '16 that I bought from an AutoNation dealership. I finally got around to greasing the U joints over the weekend. It only took 4-5 pumps to start each one purging so for what its worth I think Autonation dealerships actually do a reasonable pre delivery inspection. I am sure the zerks were dry from the factory since every other 16 TRDOR was as well.

    Awesome, thanks.

Thanks for the info. Which grease did you use?
