    2016 Tacoma - almost there...
I've finally made my decision to go with a 2016 Tacoma. I had visions of my 94 Ford Ranger, my yellow lab and me going down the back roads forever, but I'm in better shape than both of them. My illusion was shattered last March when my mechanic said, "How much do you love your truck?" The Ranger's still getting me around but it's time. We have three grandkids and only one of them is old enough/big enough to ride in the passenger seat. My daughter-in-law and my wife do not want any of them riding in the two pull out seats which just happens to be my dog's spot. We need a truck with a back seat and four doors. I've research them all. While the F-150 has gotten good reviews and I have a couple of friends who rave about theirs, it's just too darn big. Don't feel the Colorado has a proven track record yet. Was leaning toward the Frontier, but the latest model really didn't offer anything to hoot and holler about other than price. Don't think I can wait for the 2017 Ranger and the 2017 Ridgeline's bed is too small. Always liked the Tacoma, but at first was put off by the price. I'm realizing in terms of features and reliability you get what you pay for. I'm 64 years old and see this as my 'forever' vehicle. I think the Tacoma will do me just fine.
