Hello everyone, nice to join the insanity here.

I've been lurking for about a week trying to learn everything I can as this will be my first truck. I just ordered (16 week back order at the dealer) a red 2022 TRD Off road with no packages or add ons and I'm trying to decide what all I want to do to it.

The first thing I'm looking at are sliders and a full skid package in steel from RCI since I want to protect my nice shiny new truck. My last car was a Jeep patriot and while it was capable for what it was, I scraped the hell out of the under carriage on that thing taking it a lot of places I shouldn't have and more often than not ended up riding in my friends truck eventually. Granted the 'taco is way more capable even stock, but I'll probably be tempted to push the limits again.

The part that has me stumped at the moment is I want to lift it, and put on bigger tires, but trying to decide which kit is right for me. I'm currently looking at the RC 3.5" lift and a 33-34" tire.

Hell yea! Welcome! I guess it depends on how deep your pockets are for the lift. Tons of options. Lots of good advice on here - and none of it involves Rough Country...

Welcome! I too am waiting on a 2022 Barcelona Red Tacoma, except mine is the TRD Sport. The one I reserved SHOULD be here mid-February. I currently do not have a vehicle (totaled my 2016 OR 1.5 months ago), so I cannot wait much longer! I think I might also invest in a lift! We'll see.

@Montana_Actual Nice looking truck, how are you liking those Ironman foam cell pros? That was one of the brands that I looked at, but I heard that they were crazy stiff unless you had a ton of weight on them and started looking elsewhere.

Welcome to TW! I had a 2014 TRD OR in Barcelona Red until 2018 when I gave it to my daughter; it was a great truck. I moved out of the country and won't be back for another year but have ordered a 2022 TRD Pro in ELM. I have a year to wait them out so hopefully I will be able to snag one because I definitely don't want to wait on the 2023 model year.
