My Dad was stationed at Keneohe where I grew up from 68' - 72' but he worked at Schofield. It was the greatest childhood any kid could want.

Yikes... I'm spraying WD at the tops and sides of where the sliders meet the frame because of this... always on the back of my mind now...

anyone else's sliders really cause them to lose some height on the lift?

Anything heavy you add to the truck can cause that. Some sliders are nearly 175 lbs.

Pretty sure my 96" BAMF sliders are roughly 80-90lbs ea.... have someone hop in the back seat and watch the truck drop a bit... it aint much but technically you will lose lift, right?

    Add 285s. Gain clearance.
    Add skids. Lose clearance.
    Add 315. Gain clearance.
Add bumpers and winch. Lose clearance.

    It’s a zero sum game.

Those are not going to protect your truck from anything larger than a stick flipping up and denting things. They will absolutely not support the weight of the truck. Better to leave the steps on and use them as an early warning system to let you know to stop, and back up out of that situation.

I second SOS sliders. I am on my second set, first was on a 2018 and second on a 2019. The 2019 also is running an aluminum streamline front bumper from SOS. Great to work with!

Hey, there is also the 20% off tax sale also...

You should check out the Harbor Freight spray on bedliner paint. I think for the money you'd be very impressed. I mean, even as a top coat it is better than just plain spray paint.
