I've heard about people having CELs come on and other issues when they get air intakes, but i am wondering how common that really is?

Please comment if you have an aftermarket intake and if you've had issues or not. And while you're here, maybe you can note if you noticed any performance gain from it too.

You all ready have a cold air intake. if you want more noise, and more dirt in the engine with a lighter wallet by all means invest do not expect any measureable gain in performance or MPG.

Got to agree, the Cold air intake has already been designed into the truck. The only thing that I did to mine was remove the hydrocarbon filter.

I would pass.I noticed no performance gains, just noise.I had no negative problems with mine but chose to reinstall my factory one and sold the other one to a friend who ended up selling it to someone else.LOL!

I have a AFE Stage 2 CAI on a 2013 V6. Been on for a couple of month's now, no CEL's. But as other's have stated, no real performance gains other than the nice throaty sound. I like that it still sounds like stock at idle.

I installed a K&N 63 series. I havent been throwing any codes but like everyone else has said above, I get more noise and no real performance or mileage gains.

Welp that concludes that thought! Anyone done anything along the same price range (around $200-$300) and actually see a perf. gain?

I've tried cold air intakes and CAT back exhaust systems, separately, and used together. Never saw any performance or mileage improvements. Just a lighter wallet and more noise. Use your hard earned money for a better sound system.

All I did was get the TRD reusable, drop-in air filter. No performance gains, but I don't have to replace the thing and it's easy to clean it out when I've been out in the dirt and dust.
