Woah, now you're getting ridiculous. You're spending $35,000 on a vehicle and you expect power seats and rear discs? You're going to need to go spend $20,000 on an econobox Honda to get that kind of luxury.

By cutting out "useless" stuff like power seats Toyota is saving us the consumer a ton of money.

Toyota is notorious for stuff like that. My 94 Supra has heated mirrors, power seat, leather dashboard and door panels and removable headrests. The newer ones don't have heated mirrors, no removable headrests and no leather dashboard or door panels, worse quality interior parts and price conveniently went up. Nice job Toyota.

I can't wait to get the spec's for the headlights. I need to know if it uses the HD blinker fluid in the turn signals.

Except that the cost for the Supra actually went down by almost $10,000 between 1996 and 1997 when they made those changes.

Everything on the 3rd gen forums is a lie. Except this post.

Some members say once the truck is released it will get better. I don't believe it.

Once toyota releases the brochures and the insiders can speak freely about the technical details it will silence most of the idiotic speculation, that'll be nice. Then for a while forum will just fill up with "I just bought a truck" threads full of pictures. Once the first one of those threads is posted it won't take long before "The MPG reporting thread". I'd count that as an improvement in post quality.

And pretty soon after that 4th gen speculation about a diesel tacoma and the cycle of life continues.

5-10 minutes max. New factory is at north pole - moved from Mexico/Texas. Built by Canadian Elves on meth. Expect Christmas delivery.

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
After cheap plastic roller cages in wheel bearings.... Plastic in Torque converter would not surprise me.
Hey at least that is whole new industry to support Tacoma wheel bearings failing every 40k miles ...
Plastic converter would start new industry too.
