Had a friend direct me to this forum.

I found a 2011 Tacoma with 4k miles on it. My primary car is a miata, but I needed something different so I got this...

It's got a lift, 285 tires, and a sound system with a sub. I had JUST started looking for a truck and this was the first one I looked at. I knew I would be sick to my stomach if I passed it up, so I took it. Only $1k/yr for comprehensive coverage through Geico.

I am beyond ecstatic. This thing is so fun to drive. I love getting out of my Miata and getting in this beast. It's like driving a cargo ship in the smooth Caribbean seas. My mom used to own a Tacoma for a very short period when I was 16 y/o and I loved it. ... But this thing is a different monster. This thing is everything I have dreamed of though!

I look forward to you all being a very good resource as my friend has recommended this site to me. I just wanted to tell everyone how happy I am!!! :D

Also, I know dealerships are liars... But I was told this was owned by Trey Parker, one of the creators of South Park. I live and bought it in in CO, so it's not impossible. Carfax says it's from California. And it would really explain the upgrades and low mileage. There is some paperwork with his signature and name on it. Either way I don't care, I love the fucking thing.

Welcome! Damn only 4 thousand miles on a 2011? That's awesome! Guess the previous owner didn't like to drive it.

Edit: Just saw the Trey Parker thing. Even cooler! Guess it would explain the miles then. Just has a bunch of vehicles to choose from.

That's totally cool if it was his, and a hell of a nice find.

General question to those in the know: Any concerns with an engine that sees very little exercise like that? (OP, not trying to rain on your parade)

That's what I thought!! But as I said above, the dealership told me is used to be a celebrities who just kept it in a garage in a house in the mountains. I was hesitant to believe them, but the more I think about it the more it makes sense.

I'm a big motorcycle guy, and I've looked into this sort of thing. I think long term(5+ years) it can be a hazard when it comes to rust in the gas tank. But from what I understand, pretty much anything after 2010 has such good engineering it hardly matters as long as you're running fresh gas and maintain it properly.

Yeah. I edited my post. Didn't see that at first. That's great! I'm jealous for sure. I'd love to say my truck was once owned by him. I love south park!

Wonder if he ever changed the oil. Since technically it's due at 5k. :p

Hmmmm. I noticed @tcBob liked the 1st post. Could it be that "The One Bob" knows all celebrity Tacoma owners and can verify this?

@MotMan243 incase you didn't know. @tcBob is the owner/creator of Tacomaworld. He is all knowing.

Pro tip: Even if he's wrong he is never to be questioned. Praise be to "The One Bob"
