I found it. Googled SosConcepts. $50 shipped. Way better price than others out there. Safer for a shackle vs factory hook.

Just ordered it. I would think it comes unpainted. Prefer to add my own Krylon touch.

I would not trust that design as far as I could throw it. Someone else makes one that looks similar but bent instead, better than welded for sure but still with just two points of attachment. The ARB one that showed up at SEMA is the only front recovery point I've seen so far that I'd ever trust for a real world dynamic recovery. I'll be picking it up as soon as it hits the market.

I agree that it's not for tough dynamic recoveries, but its an inexpensive upgrade for simple easy pulls. If you wheel your truck hard I would agree to upgrade to a better recovery point.

They offer it I think already for the FJ Cruiser and 4Runner by virtue of the fact that they share a frame with the 150 series Prado. They have an option for both sides, too. Downside is $260 per side.

    http://ok4wd.com/arb-recovery-point-for-toyota-fj-cruiser-and-2010-toyota-4runner

BTW, pretty sure I agree about the welded type. I'd trust the bent one much more, too. Welding is fine but it would be better if there were two welds at least.

It's my understanding from the owner's manual that that is not a recovery point, but rather a tie down point if the truck is being towed on a flatbed. I may be wrong. If so, let us know.

Agreed that the cost aspect sucks, but more than once I've witnessed shitty anchor points fail and nearly kill people. The life and safety aspect of recovery is not something I'm ever willing to compromise.

Agreed. Still hard dropping that much coin for something that should be standard on a 4WD truck.

This recovery mount was first designed for @Sandman614 to be used with his arb front bumper. It's does hang down and get in the way for hard wheeling. His is scratched like crazy from taking hits and being tugged on. Not made to suit everyone's needs

I don't doubt it's very strong and it looks fantastic. You make great really stuff. Definitely glad you're out there and giving options. @forty2 and I are just commenting on trusting the configuration. What you've come up with is an improvement over the stock hook in a lot of ways, we're not knocking your recovery point.
