Pretty fun night. Shorts, snow angels, and good times.

Big shout out to Jeff with Colorado Rock Hoppers. Hell of a way to start off the week. Great rock crawling on Sunday, snow bashing on Monday night.

@Oreo Cat, thank you for stepping up and helping out. This would not have happened without your help. Much respect, and thanks for serving our awesome country.

@Bebop, your wife kicks ass! After the Yamaha was freed, she never needed the rope or strap again. She isn’t afraid of that throttle!!! Thanks for coming back out and finding me. Goggles are going into the Jeep tomorrow. I didn’t realize how much mud was on my face until I was home. Lol. Your friend was pretty adamant about not going back out. After his story, don’t blame him. Weather can get nasty very quickly, and didn’t realize this was such an ordeal. You guys hiked a long way in a blizzard.

Not a bad recovery. Pretty sure the Yamaha was more effort to get out.

We came up to the Tacoma first. First had to clear a path so we would be able to pass.

Once that was done, getting the Yamaha spun around and out from the deep snow was a little bit of work. Using the winch and a few tugs with the strap got it in the right direction. We would sink in the snow past our knees. The two guys with shorts on loved that!!!

Next up was spinning the Tacoma 180 degrees on a relatively narrow trail. Hooking the winch line up to the rear hitch, some 2wd action spun it around.

Jeff and the Tacoma got stuck a few times, but nothing a strap couldn’t cure.

On the way out, I was tail gunning and had some mud and dirt get flung up and right into my eye. So I stopped and cleaned out the dirt from my eye. Suddenly, I was by myself for a bit, not knowing the route back. I stood on my roof, and was able to get a little cell service. Nick knew where I was, and drove back out to guild me back to the trucks and trailers.

My wife said she had a blast racing back down the trails with Jeff. Guess there was a little bit of drifting action along with some airtime as well.
