SOS lights flashing from red to green for 3 plus minute

I have a 2021 TRD PRO that I got in late March. My lights on the SOS will flash from red to green for 3 minutes, sometime more, before it goes to green and stays.

I read on the owners manual that when I start the vehicle, the light for the sos should be red at 1st, but go to green in a few seconds.

With the Toyota app, sometimes the locking of the doors will work, sometimes not. When they don’t work, I get a notification saying command was interrupted. Yesterday and today I tried the remote start from the app and I got the same notification, saying the command was interrupted. I read online to disconnect the battery for :15 minutes, so I did that. The remote start works for now, but I still have the sos light going from red to green for a few minute still.

One thing I do noticed, if I start my truck for a minute (to move it out of the garage onto the drive way) and the lights flash back and forth on the sos, It seems like that’s when I have the app issues with trying to lock the doors with the app.

I want to wait for the 5000 service to have it looked at, but it’s just so annoying. Anything else I should try? Anyone have this issue?

 

Sounds like a poor cell phone signal to the truck. App talks to the truck through cell data. SOS flashing red is when the truck is handshaking to the central servers.

Does it happen when you start your truck in a different/more populated area?

 

It does this everywhere now. It didn’t do this for the 1st few month I owned it, but lately it does (maybe for a month now).
