Some questions for those who have used this kit to lower a 3rd gen:

    1. Did you do the install yourself?

    Assuming yes to #1:

    2. Is the instruction manual satisfactory?

    3. Is the install straightforward if one has the listed tools and is generally a DIY'er?

    Assuming no to #1:

    4. Who did you get to do the job and how much (or how many man hours) did they charge?

    Other:

    5. Are you satisfied with your Taco ride, load carrying capacity, etc. since the install?

    6. Any "cons" one considering this kit should be aware of?

    Thanks.

I’ve had the sos performance 2/3.5 kit on my truck for about 3 months now. I installed with help. 2 people took a few hours. Handles well. I don’t tow much more than a pool trailer. There hasn’t really been any cons. I have the trd pro exhaust and you have to move the hanger closest to the rear of the truck 70CDDEB9-9002-4011-8988-BA587760F229.jpg380E3C5A-3F76-453B-86BB-9C7EDFD384D9.jpg B6CEB825-3CF8-4B35-9A39-A22985F4993C.jpg02CD894F-3C32-494C-930A-255FBD756C92.jpg

I was in a shop with a lift. Jack stands would work but definitely would be a tight work space.

I'm considering this as well, but have one big question, and a small one. If you are dropping it, how much suspension travel are you losing?
