SOTEC || Ardbeg Spring Trail Clean Up May 2 - 4, 2025

I think Anthony was planning on doing so. He is coming to the mall crawl so you may be able to coordinate with him if needed

 

I will not be crawling malls.

With a week from running the trails I figure I’d start getting everyone organized.

Saturday morning 9-11am for the beach and camp area cleanup. Then we will break off into groups and do cleanups while riding the other trails.

The of4wd put out an advisory to wait to run the trails till May 24 to avoid damaging trails because of wet conditions. We will try to ensure we are not eroding the trails and do our best to not rut it out. Keep in mind Ardbeg is mainly rock and the warning was mainly for the kawartha area. We may need to bring some chain saws for some tree damage due to the ice storm.

Might not be able to bring firewood. My sister has the trailer.

 

Believe maverick is bringing some and I’ll try to grab some as well for Saturday night.

 

i would consider it but earliest i can make it to the switchyard is around 2pm. should still give plenty of time if that works. a couple others i talked to are interested as well.

 

Beware the south trail may be muddier than usual.

 

Keep in mind that the OF4WD is advising to stay off trails because of the wet conditions and tree damage in the kawartha area till May 24. Let’s try our best to not erode our trail system.
