SOTEC Newbie Run 101, 2024

We didn't pre-run the trails this year but there is nothing too crazy. Factory recovery points are okay.

These trails have all been done in past years. Most difficult trail in the "moderate" group is Gooderham at level 3, about the same as Ardbeg South Trail or Minden Scotch Line. In 2022 the "easy" group eventually got bored and everyone went on Gooderham, including a CRV and Highlander. Picture taken at a flat clearing about 1/3 the way through Gooderham:

Hope everyone had a good day. Just getting home myself. The “pro” group did concessions, gooderham, salmon burn, and a few other trails today. Only had one sliced sidewall (same spot as you @Windigo and @Norilsk )

that was my biggest fear lol.
I called it in earlier as I had a feeling was luck was going to run out. Thanks to everyone helping me out this weekend and showing me what my truck can actually do and helping me out. Had a blast. I can’t even imagine what a non newbie run would be like …..

Glad it went well! I had a lot of people ask for another one in August. I’ll do my best to organize a day event where we can go from the east ones up. Maybe do a day run to Ardbeg or something.
